Navi Web UI – The Shiny New Way To Navi

Lets step up the game a little.

As we discussed in our previous post one of the new things we were working on rolling out is the Navi Web Interface or NWI is finally ready to be shown off to the world. This update packs some awesome new features. So lets get into it!

I’m thrilled to introduce you to our latest and greatest update for Navi! You can jump right into exploring all the exciting features by clicking on the header above or stick around while we walk you through the highlights.

I want to start by acknowledging that it’s been a bit of a wait since our last significant update, and I apologize personally for any inconvenience that may have caused. As a company, we’ve been focused on bringing Seraph to life, and Navi took a temporary backseat. However, Navi needed a little love to. This new update is packed with innovative features!

Over the past few months, we’ve quietly rolled out some smaller updates, but this latest release takes the cake. Get ready to experience the best of Navi yet!

Implementing Open WebUI

As part of our continued commitment to transparency and community engagement, we’ve continued to venture down the open-source path to life. We decided to make use of Open WebUI. This means that everyone can now enjoy Navi in a safe, secure, and private environment.

The implementation process was surprisingly seamless. Once Open WebUI was up and running, all we had to do was point it towards our host server, and – voilà! – Navi is now accessible from the web for one and all!

RAG (Request Augmented Generation)

Starting off with the new hot buzz word making its way around the AI ecosystem. We have RAG built in by default thanks to this being a feature of Open WebUI.

So what is RAG? How about we let Navi explain it:

One of the more common ways to use RAG is to upload documents that the AI can reference to produce more accurate results. That is a nifty trick to have especially in the case of cyber investigations. Imagine being able to upload all of the documents related to a case and being able to chew through it with Navi as co-pilot.

Spoiler alert, I will be doing a blog on this a little later as I make my way through: Kase Scenarios – Sinister Obsession effectively using it as a simulated test of Navi’s investigative metal.

One of the side features we discovered was that we can actually use websites for RAG. Let me show you what I mean.

That to me is really cool. As long as the webpage is not gated behind a login, you can add context to a conversation with Navi on the fly.

Open WebUI Model Editing

Thanks to the efforts made by Open WebUI getting this version of Navi up and running was incredibly easy. Through the use of building a custom Modelfile we were able to take the best bits of Llama3 and gate it down to just what we needed. So cybersecurity. Through this model file Navi also gets her personality and expression. If you want to take a look or even run your own local copy of Navi take a look at her modelfile here.

And with that...

We bring you the most epic Navi update yet.

We’ve officially stepped up the game with our latest update for Navi. The Navi Web Interface (NWI) is now live and packed with exciting new features. We’re thrilled to be back with a vengeance, bringing you innovative solutions and improvements that make your life easier.

From the implementation of Open WebUI to RAG’s game-changing capabilities, this update is all about empowering you to get more out of Navi. Whether you’re exploring the latest cybersecurity trends or working on a complex investigation, we’ve got you covered.
