Hi there, it's been a while.
It has been a semi-crazy week here at SSG. One of the updates is rather obvious. That is well and good but its what is not publicly seen that is what prompted this blog post. So let me give a quick recap:
- New Site is live (We can all see that)
- SSL all the things.
- Built out a service to launch Navi's discord bot on server start
- Updated Navi to llama3
- Started Customizing the llama3 model
- Super secret Navi web interface is up and running.
Lets get into it.
New website: Following a thorough evaluation, we have decided to part ways with Wix, despite their impressive features and capabilities. The decision was driven by our desire for a fresh start and an opportunity to revisit a platform that aligns more closely with our expertise and familiarity. While our experience with Wix was positive, we ultimately opted to return to a trusted Content Management System (CMS) that has been a cornerstone of our digital presence. Although I won’t reveal the identity of this new CMS just yet, let’s just say it’s a familiar name in the industry – and one that we’re excited to rediscover!
SSL is SSL
Navi discord auto launcher: This solution has been a long time coming, as we’ve been focused on refining our company infrastructure. Specifically, the process of rebooting our server – which is where all our online presence resides – has been a recurring task. And, in the midst of that chaos, we may have forgotten to launch our Discord bot… Yeah, it’s safe to say I’m the culprit behind this oversight. But don’t worry, we’ve learned from our mistake and are excited to share Navi will no longer suffer non-outage related downtime.
Llama 3:
A common point of debate between myself and others has been the choice to continue building upon Llama 3, rather than starting anew. As Navi’s AI architecture continues to evolve, I’ve found it more efficient to refine existing models rather than restarting from scratch. Some might label me “lazy” for not reinventing the wheel, but I prefer to think of it as a prudent decision, allowing me to focus on optimizing and improving the models we already have.
Make no mistake, though – I’m still committed to ongoing learning and professional development in AI development. I intend to remain well-versed in the underlying technologies, ensuring that I can provide insightful answers to basic questions about how these systems operate and are used.
Llama 3 Customization:
As users who have tested our Navi Discord model are likely aware, we’ve taken steps to temper its initial “uncensored” approach and redirect its focus towards achieving its original purpose. While the idea of unleashing Navi’s potential without limits was intriguing, we recognized that a more balanced approach would better serve our goals.
Currently, we’re actively injecting our own knowledge into the model, refining it to deliver a filtered and distilled set of information that aligns with its core mission: serving as a trusted Cybersec copilot. While users will still be able to ask Navi for fun facts or recipes like grandma’s pie and yes the occasional outlandish question / request, its primary objective remains assisting in cybersecurity-related tasks and providing valuable insights.
Navi Web Interface: In the spirit of leveraging existing knowledge and avoiding reinvention, we’ve integrated Open WebUI into our services. While this new integration is still under development, I’m excited to offer early access to a select few. If you’re able to find the URL, please feel free to create a username and test it out. For now, let’s keep this between us – but rest assured that I’ll be sharing more information about Open WebUI in the future, likely through a dedicated blog post. Stay tuned!
And that's a wrap!
Well, folks, that’s all for today’s update from the Saints Security Group LLC headquarters. As you’ve seen, we’ve been busy refining our company infrastructure, streamlining processes, and leveraging existing knowledge to drive innovation.
From parting ways with Wix to rediscovering a trusted Content Management System (CMS), we’re excited to share this fresh start with you. And let’s not forget the SSL – it remains as secure as ever!
Our Navi Discord auto launcher is now live, ensuring no more downtime due to server reboots. You can rest assured that our AI architecture will continue to evolve without us having to reinvent the wheel (Llama 3: we’re all about optimizing what’s already great! That is a notion of open source is it not?).
We’ve also been working on refining the Navi Discord model, injecting our own knowledge to deliver a more balanced and focused experience. It’s still the same fun-loving bot you know, but now with an added layer of expertise in cybersecurity.
And lastly, we’re thrilled to announce that Open WebUI has joined the Saints Security Group LLC family! We can’t wait for you to try it out – just keep it on the down-low for now. A dedicated blog post will follow soon, so stay tuned!
Thanks for joining us on this journey. Remember, at Saints Security Group LLC, we’re all about embracing innovation, learning from our mistakes, and staying ahead of the curve in cybersecurity. Until next time…
